Michael Pottetti joined Zwaik, Gilbert & Associates in November of 2018. Michael discovered at an early age that he had a talent for helping people with their problems. Whether it be friends, family or strangers, he always figured out ways to help them achieve their desired result. He received his J.D. from Vermont Law School because of its focus on public service, and more appropriately its motto which stated, Lex Pro Urbe et Orbe, which stands for “Law for the Community and the World.” Prior to joining Zwaik, Gilbert & Associates, Michael began his own practice helping individuals file claims before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. Michael is a Long Island native and is the former Wiebe Fellow with the New York State Senate Majority Counsel’s Office, where he was active in the legislative process. Michael has worked for elected officials, on political campaigns, with non-profit organizations, and is an active volunteer firefighter in his community.
Michael believes that the law can be a tool to help those who have been wronged or injured and wanted to use his knowledge for more than just a paycheck but to remedy injustice in the world. The catalyst to practice Immigration law came from his desire to help people in his community. Michael looks forward to hearing your story and being an effective advocate. Michael speaks conversational Spanish, has two dogs and loves the outdoors.
Michael is admitted to practice law in Minnesota and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.
